Lakeside Fitness
The Packanack Lake Aerobics Club was founded in 1989 to offer a fitness program to Association Members. Today our fitness program has expanded to include Pilates and Yoga.
Experience fitness programs created to challenge you with expert private trainers and certified instructors, conveniently located at the Clubhouse. Meet a weight loss goal, stay in shape or exercise with a friend. The Aerobics Club offers several sessions each year.
Try our new program: Dance Workout - An Incomparable core workout designed for the non-dancer. - This energizing, non-impact "total body class", leaves no muscle untouched: Arms, abs, hips and thighs. Participants will engage in a unique blend of ballet, modern, jazz and Brazilian combined with strength and flexibility movements to tone and sculpt. Each class will progress toward a complete dance routine. Participants should bring a mat for the floor work. Classes will be held Mondays at 10am in the Clubhouse main hall starting May 10 through June 14 (excluding May 31) for 5 weeks @ $25 for all 5 weeks. Pilates, Core (Barre) will continue on Thursdays 6:15 to 7pm through may 27. You can join in the remainder of these classes. Just call or email Joyce.
New Program of YOGA for men and women, starting in January, 2010.
All levels - All welcome
Learn a complete range of movements (called Asanas) as you gain a more comprehensive understanding of the benefits of yoga, including a stronger, more flexible body. You will need to bring a non-skid yoga mat, not fabric covered or a styrofoam type. Our certified instructor is Maiga Palkaunieks. Our one hour sessions will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays, at a cost of $40 for all eight weeks. We have a great time - Maiga is a fun person - and so - understanding!
Pilates/Core/Barre
Denise will again be running a Core Barre (Pilates ) class. This class is a mix of core training methods, (based on the Lotte Berk technique and Pilates). Class format includes both standing and floor work. Participants will need one pair of light weights,(2 to 3 lbs), a mat and may bring a towel or strap to aid stretching. This new session will start January 14th and run 8 weeks through March 11 (no class 2/18/10) at a cost of $40 for the entire 8 weeks.
