Athletic Association
The Packanack Lake Athletic Association is dedicated to building sports programs for our community.
Our goal is to improve the physical and social skills of our children through athletic activities and to build adult programs that enhance the community experience.
Organized sports have always been a major ingredient of community life in Packanack. In the early years most of the programs were adult oriented, the 1940’s saw the first boy’s baseballs teams were formed.
In 1953 the need was recognized for an umbrella organization due to an increasing number of sports programs and the Packanack Lake Athletic Association was formed. The PLAA as it is known takes on the responsibilities of developing, organizing and funding of Packanack sponsored sports programs.
The PLAA offers several fields at two locations for soccer, baseball and softball including night play. We also offer organized basketball, a batting cage, annual 5K charity run and is home to the North Jersey National Football League flag football program.
PLAA is also the sponsor of several of Packanack’s most notable social events including the annual Block Party. These events help keep youth sports at low or no costs to member participants and are a fun time for all.
If you or your child would like to participate in one of our programs to learn a sport, stay fit, or make friends, sign up today at www.packanacksports.com
