Packanack Lake Mothers Club
The Packanack Lake Mothers Club is a multifaceted organization of women in the Packanack community. Our primary mission is to provide social support for lake families with special focus on mothers and young children. We strive to preserve the neighborly traditions that make Packanack Lake a great place to raise a family.
The Mothers Club facilitates year-round social activities for the children, special functions for families, and community events to support the club’s various endeavors. The grounds and playground equipment at Carney Park are maintained by the Mothers Club. In 2009 we raised the funds to update the playground with a modernized play structure. Whenever possible we make it our goal to give back to not only the community we serve but also likeminded charitable organizations. Our events, causes and activities are supported by various fundraisers throughout the year. These include a holiday craft fair, community garage sale, and an all-day scrapbooking retreat.
The annual membership fee is $25.00. New mothers and mothers of preschool-aged children are invited to join. Mothers of children age five and up are also welcome to join at a reduced alumni rate. Meetings are held quarterly.
Association members are encouraged to attend our annual events for children such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Parade and Party, and the helicopter visit from Santa.
The Mothers Club was established in 1986 as a means for Packanack moms to meet and exchange information on parenting-related subjects. The club also provided an opportunity for new mothers to share common interests and establish a babysitting network. Today the Mothers Club is an integral part of the Packanack Community.
