UGP BACKGROUND & MISSION STATEMENT

Since 1959, United Givers Plan of Packanack Lake (UGP) has contributed over $1.7 million to support local non-profits. UGP serves as a central collection point for allocating donations in support of a broad array of local Packanack, Wayne Township, and Passaic County area charities. The UGP all-volunteer board ensures contributions are granted to organizations aligned with our Mission; those focused on:

Aiding the Addicted
Comforting the Abused
Feeding & Sheltering Those in Need
Healing the Sick
Helping Challenged Adults
Supporting the Youth

All potential beneficiaries are required to submit mission statements and annual financial statements. In addition, on-site visits are conducted by UGP board members each year. The amount granted to each beneficiary is determined by the following three criteria:

Value of the organization to society
Financial need
Geographical location relative to Packanack

VOLUNTEER

If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent as a member of the UGP Board, email us at unitedgivers@gmail.com. Meetings for board members are held bi-monthly to review the progress of our current campaign, discuss ways to promote UGP, evaluate new donor requests, review the status of our beneficiaries, prepare for our main mailing in October, and share ideas.
