Since 1959, United Givers Plan of Packanack Lake (UGP) has contributed over $1.6 million to support local beneficiaries. Each fall during our fundraising appeal, continued contributions from members and non-members in the Packanack Lake boundaries help make Packanack a remarkably generous community. The UGP is a charitable organization that strives to make it easy for Packanack community members to fulfill their desire to be charitable. UGP serves as a central collection point for allocating donations in support of a broad array of local Packanack, Wayne Township, and Passaic County area charities. The UGP all-volunteer board ensures contributions are granted to organizations aligned with our Mission. Specifically, we focus on:
Supporting the Youth
Feeding the Hungry
Helping Challenged Adults
Comforting the Abused
Healing the Sick
Aiding the Addicted
All potential beneficiaries are required to submit mission statements and financial statements each year. Three criteria are used to determine the amount of beneficiary funding:
Value of the organization to society
Localness of the community it serves

If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent, contact the Packanack Lake Clubhouse at 973-696-3524. Most work is done on your own schedule. UGP needs help in promotion and publicity, thank yous, assisting in the main mailing in October as well as the follow-ups later in the year. Meetings for Board Members are held quarterly and include evaluating new donor requests, reviewing the status of our beneficiaries, but mostly to gain new ideas for promoting UGP.
